Cambridge is three towns in one. In 1973, Galt, Preston, and Hespeler merged into a single city, and more than fifty years later each keeps its own character. Galt's limestone heart along the Grand River holds some of the finest heritage architecture in Ontario — homes that reward renovation done properly, modernized without erasing the stonework and proportion that make them irreplaceable.

Yes. Newer areas around Saginaw, Clemens Mill, and Riverbank typically come with unfinished basements, often with bathroom plumbing rough-ins already in place. We design the layout around your family's needs — bedrooms, bathrooms, rec rooms, home offices.
A basic finished basement runs 6 to 8 weeks. Adding a bathroom extends it to 8 to 10 weeks. Multi-room basements with a bedroom and bath can take 10 to 12 weeks. We give you a project-specific schedule before construction starts
Straightforward basement or interior renovation permits typically take a few weeks; projects with structural changes, additions, or heritage considerations take longer. We submit complete drawings the first time to keep the City of Cambridge approval process on schedule.
In most cases, yes — but older homes demand extra care. We coordinate structural engineering for proper beam sizing, verify what the wall is actually carrying (older homes hold surprises), manage permits, and integrate the new structure cleanly
